Postcard from Lebanon, a moveable feast

As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans. ~ Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast

(Entrance way, Chateau Ksara, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. We will enjoy the crisp taste of their wine here, soon. For now, a glimpse of the glittering vineyard.)

  1. One of our favorite wines is Chateau Musar. Once in a while we splurge on a bottle of one of their better wines, but the reasonable priced Chateau Musar Jeune is a staple in our household. Matches well with so many different foods.
