Appreciation is a wonderful thing; it makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well. ~ Voltaire

Were you out on the water when you took this or on shore? I love how crisp and sharp the waves look in the image.

I was on the water! Holding on tight amid the waves and wind….

So glad you didn’t drop the camera — with all the electronic bad luck you’ve had these past few months. The photo is gorgeous.

    Dear Maureen,
I was in one regatta–my first was my last–know what you mean about ‘holding on tight’
and of course as we all know, one of the great contributions of the Phoenecians to the world was the invention of the Lateen sail–beautiful pic–should grace the cover of a sailing magazine

Beautiful image! Some weeks ago, I had the privilege to see from my balcony the tall ships races 2012 Lisbon and I was speechless with such beauty.Nothing compares with blue sky, blue water and white sails on that horizon…

    Warm embrace
