  1. When I read about your cooking and the recognition you give to your mom, it brings back all my childhood with my grandmother. Every word you write matches what my life was like. She was from Lebanan and had to move to the US (the whole Armenian thing and much to long to go into here)…. Would make a great movie.
Food was the most important part of the visit. It took a crew to make the meals. The quote from John Campbell, ….everything seems like a similiar existance to myself. My grandmother passed away many years ago. She never left my mind or heard. Every time we eat lebenese we have come close to her cooking, but never, never any better.

  2. Hey there Maureen! I was sent here by our mutual Aunt Pat Abood. 🙂 What an awesome photo!! I look forward to reading more on your blog. I’m Pat and Dewey Asher’s daughter. (My dad is Aunt Pat’s brother.) It’s nice to go online and see family! What are we…second cousins? Nice to see you!

  6. Thank you for sharing the strawberry rhubarb pie recipe. I’ll be making it this week for my son’s 21st birthday as he asks for a pie every year instead of cake. What a precious photograph that must be filled with memories for you and a heartfelt thought to accompany it.

  7. How blessed we have been in our lives with our Mothers. My Mom died on Mother’s Day so it is a mixed feeling day for me. Wishing Everyone a Perfect Mom’s Day.
