Happy sigh. (That’s what this photo makes me feel.)
As I bask in the transcendentalism of this photograph, I am reminded of your other lovely photos of food and its intimate preparations and I think about Home — Home as a place on a map and a place in the heart and how food, family and nature can evoke that sense of rooted belonging. It’s a shame that you were never able to make it on Sunday mornings with Tom and me. I’m certain it would have been a delight to meet you. Andrea, it’s you! Well I’ve heard so many nice things, and I’m sorry that we didn’t meet in SF. Your walking tours page is wonderful and has made me good and homesick for my San Francisco.
