Postcard from Up North

There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man. ~Winston Churchill

(Black Forest Hall, at the top of Quick Road. Some of you have been here with me. The horses remind me that this spot will always be beautiful.)

There is something about gazing at horses in a field that is calming to the soul;even to a non-horse person like me.

What’s beautiful here are your words. I love the way you hold on and let go in just the right amounts.

Welcome home sweetheart, I have always loved horses and even owned a couple for riding purposes in past years. The upcoming Belmont will feature a possible Triple Crown Winner in “I’ll Have Another”who is fantastic to watch. The name came from the owner or trainer after being offered a cookie from a dish filled with them by his wife. Plan to view the race if possible. My Love to All of You!!!!

So beautiful and true Maureen …
And I could see that with my daughter Sofia, some years ago by the time of my divorce, when she started to have riding lessons. The horses were and still are a bliss for her.
